We are looking for a Business Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is driven and organized, using their skills and experience to drive the efficient administration of existing business processes and identify and improve process deficiencies.

As a Business Manager you can expect to:

  • Source new hires, manage their contracting/documentation and onboarding

  • Administer over expense management and payroll processing

  • Administer any office requirements, everything from coordinating new office moves to planning our yearly retreat

  • Ensure accuracy of bookkeeping and financial snapshots

  • Lead grant application process and manage freelancers for any claims process required

  • Assist with financial and investment reporting

  • General research in the forum of tax, finances, and investment

We are looking for someone with these skills and attributes:

  • Experience with Quickbooks Online or other accounting software

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Word and Excel

  • Comfortable with preparing and reviewing financial documents and reports

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Unafraid to ask questions and make suggestions to peers and managers

  • Self-motivated and able to deal with uncertainty and rejection

  • Able to carry out negotiations with the support of managers

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Com/M.Com or equivalent

  • 3-5 years prior experience in marketing or a similar client facing role

  • Experience applying analytical skills to business and organizational problems

  • Interest in travel and technology
